Hardwire Kit Output Voltage

I installed a 6000 watt dc to ac power inverter with charger and transfer switch in the baggage compartment of our Montana fifth wheel. It is connected to 4 Engergizer GC-2 , 6 volt golf cart batteries. The batteries are tied in series parallel. I installed ground wire to unit case using 10 gauge wire to ships frame. I installed 2 legs of 12-2 wire from hard wire port G N N L L. I turned inverter on, it indicated 12.93 volts. I then plugged in a very small vacuum cleaner. The vacuum ran well on all 6 of the 115 volt plugs. There is no voltage at all from the hard wire ports. Is there any reason why?

When using a dc to ac power inverter with charger and transfer switch the only output will be on the ac outlets. The hardwire kit is simply to run charger and transfer switch from the utility power to direct current battery power. If you need receive an output 115 volts on your home outlets you would need to wire the front outlets of the inverter to a sub panel box and then wire the sub box to home outlets. The other option would be to connect your electronics to the AC outlets of the dc to ac power inverter and they will remained power by the DC (direct current) or the home AC (alternating current) utility power.

It seems that he battery power is enough to run your desired electronics, you can monitor the battery charger progress with the digital display on the front of the power inverter. If the banks DC voltage is increasing while in charger mode then battery charger is working and your devices are indeed operating off of home utility power. If you are looking to be completely off grid then you have to wire the output of the power inverter to your utility breaker box.
