Replacing Power Inverter Fuses

My Power Inverter will not turn off when it’s plugged in the wall. When you pull the plug from the wall the transfer switch kicks in then the off button works. Also how do you replace the Power Inverter fuses it say’s there replaceable?

When an inverter with charger and transfer switch is connect to home utility power is made to be run on a constant basis to charge the batteries, and the AC outlets are being run my your house power not the battery power. Therefore it is like a home ups made to be kept on standby for power outages for emergency use. By disconnecting the AC power source then the DC to AC power inverter will function like a standard Power Inverter will all the standard controls. But when connected to you home the bulk charge will automatically kick in.

As for the replaceable fuses they can be found inside the inverter. You will need to unscrew the front and rear panels, then remove the outer case. Power Inverter fuse will be visible as soon as you look inside. Standard spade and glass fuses are used in most DC to AC Power Inverter and replacements can be found and purchased at your local automotive part store or electrical component store. You can also test the fuses to see if they are still functioning with any multi meter or standard fuse tester. When replacing a fuse make sure they are removed from the PC board carefully in order not to damage the power inverters functioning components. Also check if all the fuses are securely on the housing of the board, you might find yourself testing all the fuses and having no bad fuses but not checking if they are lose on the board. If they are not properly installed then they will not function properly.
